Taking a proactive role in supporting British and Chinese business collaborations

At CamVision we work to help bring organisations and individuals together to further their ideas and success. To help us continue this work, we have recently joined the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC).

It is no secret that China has become the world’s future superpower, growing in economic as well as innovative leadership across a variety of sectors. However, the UK remains a place of strong economic and educational heritage, knowledge, talent and success as well. Working together, companies from both nations have the capacity to create exciting, forward-thinking ideas and businesses, and at CamVision we work to help bring organisations and individuals together to further their ideas and success. To help us continue this work, we have recently joined the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC).

China’s role on the global stage

China is a major economic power and its gross domestic product, in purchasing power terms, is expected to be 40% higher than the U.S.'s in 2020 by the International Monetary Fund. It has world-class companies, and it is also the world leader in many of the technologies of the future, including artificial intelligence.

A positive partnership with the UK

There is a history of financial and economic partnership between the UK and China that has developed in particular over the last 10 years. We ourselves have seen how working together can create incredible collaborations and successful new ideas. By working together, UK investors are inspired by Chinese ed-tech startups and are able to gain a presence at the forefront of new ideas by nurturing exciting talent and Chinese startups. Meanwhile, Chinese organisations are able to access the UK market and develop their concepts for audiences around the world.

Creating the networks to communicate and collaborate successfully

The CBBC is the UK’s national business network promoting trade and investment with China. It has been operating since 1954, acting as the independent voice of business, located at the heart of the action, engaging across both countries in every sector and region.

As a team, we are naturally passionate about the sharing of ideas, the development of ed-tech businesses to support learning, international collaboration and to nurture a global community. We see the benefits of working together and sharing talent every single day. In joining the CBBC, we want to further extend that work and are excited to join their various education sub committees as well in order to take a proactive role in shaping British business in China.
